And people are ready to pay for your advice. But to start helping others and get an exposure as an expert you need to tell the world about yourself and your expertness. You need a personal branding strategy.

As you already may know, personal branding is a powerful tool that differentiates people in the same niche. Recently I’ve described in details what is a personal brand, why and how to start building it by defining your expert type and analyzing your niche. In this article I would like to describe you the most important and effective techniques that have already been used by famous entrepreneurs, and should be used by you if you want to promote your personal brand. Let’s go!

There are so many social media platforms that you could hardly have time to visit all of them during the day. How can you promote there?

The biggest and most common mistake of starting entrepreneurs is trying to be everywhere at the same time. This is how it usually happens: you make a list of the most popular social networks, create pages there and start posting daily. What happens next? Nothing. No growth and no time. You are tired and desperate. This time-wasting strategy will never bring you results.

So what to do?

Here is the most effective formula that should be used if you really want to skyrocket your online visibility and promote your personal brand:

Building a personal brand means building a reputation. If you want to play this game seriously and with a long-term prospective, you need a website.

Think about famous personal brands like GaryVee, Tony Robbins, Richard Branson. Each of them has successful businesses, each of them is highly popular on a social media. And each of them has a personal website. You also need one!

To define a primary social media channel for your personal brand promotion decide on the following:

Regardless of the channel you selected for your promotion, be it an Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter you should invest maximum efforts and time in growing only this very channel:

  • Be consistent and make a post once 1 day or at least 2 times a week;
